The short lead is about 24 inches long and is ideal for power walks and jogs. We use a black 6oz oil tanned leather for the strap, which is double layered and edge stitched. The hand loops are made of a luxurious-feeling, rich mahogany 6oz oil tan leather that is normally used to make western riding chaps. The swivel snap is on the larger side and the strap is 1-1/4 inch wide, so these leashes are better suited for a 25 lb or larger dog.
